Tfw you realize it’s not good to be ‘correct’ because you’re Cassandra.
Not to mention that you just really have no idea what a person’s actual situation is just by looking at them.

“Poor” people get to enjoy life.

People on govt assistance get to enjoy life.

Misery doesn’t help lift people out of poverty, financial assistance does.
Like, if a person/household works full time and cant afford food, shelter, healthcare and occasionally going to get their nails done or whatever little pleasure in life keeps them trucking along and enjoying their life, something is wrong with the system, not the people stuck in it.
The comments had a lot of “I am not on any govt benefits & I can’t afford my nails, so you shouldn’t get to either.”

My reaction when I hear that: Maybe you should be getting SNAP then.
If you work multiple jobs and never get lil treats, maybe you should be getting housing vouchers & medicaid.
I saw a person who was talking about how they received a lot of judgment & spite for having their nails done and also receiving SNAP. She was explaining it was a lil treat, and it helped take the sting out of having no plans to celebrate Halloween.
So very tired of “no one saw this coming!”

When the reality is that a fuck ton of people saw it coming, tried to speak up and then got shat upon for trying to stop it from happening.

Q: but what if a full Epstein investigation also takes down Bill Clinton?????

A:
it’s not even a sacrifice, it’s like a Free Gift With Purchase
I guess I’m just asking to please be aware of what you’re saying and how you’re saying it. 😒
Those of us who had an older father by the time we were conceived hear you loud & clear the when you start talking about genetics & who’s “at fault” when a person ends
up different than what society deemed was supposed to happen.
Idk but as a youngest kid in a large family family, and definitely the weird, most nuerospicy one, maybe journalists and commentators could stop calling the genetic material provided by older men “defective” or “full of mutations” 🤷🏻‍♀️
Tfw you realize it’s not good to be ‘correct’ because you’re Cassandra.

Question: Would you view a news organization as more trustworthy, with a more appealing brand, if it declared that AI would not be used in creation of its content? Also, would you be more inclined to pay for reporting and journalism that's specifically offered as human-created and human-curated?

Seeing many posts about how ICE isn't trained. That's not really the problem. The problem is what they were sent to do, not whether they're qualified to do it.
Hanging out with the dog and doodling in my notebook, and I think I finally figured out narratively how to close the time travel loop in the story I’ve been working on.

Feeling very satisfied about it. 😊

Reminiscin’ this’n that and havin’ such a good time. Oo-De-Lally, Oo-De-Lally golly what a day.
I find these live toktok’s with the “agree/disagree to [(usually)false dichotomy]” premise to be interesting.
One of those niche topics I wish I could study what’s happening on the business end of the platform.
There’s a whole evolving communication systems in the format of these lives 🧫🔬🤓
I’ve been watching a tiktok creator host live conversational debates where they do a prompt and then invite people to disagree.

It is wild to see how many people want to define words in the prompt by using the christian bible. I keep wanting to shout at the screen “a bible is not a dictionary!”
In my experience, the trouble would be that moment the toddler spidey-senses hit and they recognize I need them to eat berries to record the baseline consumption rate, the toddler will suddenly refuse to eat and become adorably uncooperative 😂

New developments in my 3 year Epstein investigation, this time regarding JP Morgan Chase and its CEO, Jamie Dimon. This is a long thread, but worth sticking around for.

I want to know: with respect to Epstein’s crimes, what did JPMC execs know and when did they know it? If Dimon really knew nothing about Epstein, then how does he explain reported internal emails from his employees flagging Epstein’s activity for him?
My excessive love of emojis might have given it away already though 😉
My peers are millennials btw, if you don’t know me well enough to know the age range I’m talking about. 😅
Oh yeah, make sure you’re workplace has annually updated Worker’s Rights & Safety posters applicable to your jurisdiction.

Adjusting to the transitions is a pretty variable experience. I guess the one piece of universal advice I have would be, to remember that your colleagues are, no matter their age, always human beings & have human rights.*

*unless you’re stuck in a company trying to make AI workers happen.
It’s been quite a trip to see my peers starting to realize that *they’re* the ones now in the role of being the ‘older’ coworker or colleague to people in their late teens or early twenties.
