given the climate of nascent fascism it's reasonable to expect the democrats to circle the wagons around their own instead of the leader of the party wink wink nudge nudging towards a guy who just yesterday said he would make concessions to trump, but yes, they have a history of this spitefulness

there was never any scenario where that would happen. the republican base long since rejected the bush administration and this was known. that's not even touching on the moral abomination of accepting his endorsement. forcefully rejecting it would've earned her more voters
