Just occurred to me that there is a timeline where Gordon Brown is currently the elected ceremonial Head of State of an independent Scottish Republic and is pacing furiously around Holyrood Palace muttering about Mandelson before the English Ambassador.

Future wherein the LibLeft coalition is _slightly_ bigger as a proportion of the country than the Right coalition but _much_ smaller as a proportion of parliament should very much be prepared for. I think this will lead to a lot of turmoil and *extremely* stupid media takes. Gonna be unbearable.
