Extreme Drought definitely captures my summer on PEI. This year my corn was stunted and inedible, peppers struggled, potatoes got shredded by beetles, snap peas barely produced one harvest, and cucumbers were marginal. Tomatoes, berries and beans did well.

I have 8000L of rainwater storage.

My friend died this year, with medical debt to the tune of $2,800,000+.

He had insurance through his job.

He got cancer.

He lost his job/insurance due to his treatments.

He couldn't afford insurance because he lost his job.

There is no way your average person can afford these new rates.
