There’s basically one set of conditions where shining lasers at aircraft is a good idea, and that’s when the aircraft in question is actively attempting to kill you and the laser is the best thing you’ve got. We aren’t there yet, you do not want us to get there. Don’t shine lasers at aircraft.

Would be a real shame if Residence Inn & all Marriott properties got a ton of angry phone calls & emails, people cancelled reservations, & Marriott in general was marked as pro ICE for housing all those ICE agents terrorizing the North Side & suburbs of Chicago

video of people being snatched by ICE at a laundromat shows an intersection between housing and immigration enforcement. if your unit and building don't have (working, available) laundry, that's one more errand where you have to spend significant time in potentially vulnerable public space

During the campaign she was criticized for focusing so heavily on preventing fascism instead of on "kitchen table issues."

Now that Dems are literally focusing on kitchen table issues (ie, healthcare/inflation etc), they're being criticized for "not focusing on preventing fascism."

I’ve seen posts claiming this “truth” is evidence of dementia, but IMO that’s not the right frame. This is strategy. Since 2021, the right has been rewriting history, bending timelines, to connect their grievances (Covid) and conspiracy theories (Jan 6, censorship, etc) to the Biden administration.

Americans that pretend their cats arent an invasive species actually piss me tf off. House cats in the americas are not native to this ecosystem, nor are they beneficial to it. They hunt for fun, they carry diseases, and they repopulate like crazy. Fix your cat and keep them indoors, period.
