i buy/gather old chromebooks and put coreboot and mx linux on them then give them away to people who need basic computers! the fluxbox version runs great even on old 2gb chromebooks. it's one of my favorite distros.

anyway, this is part of the watering down of the term i mentioned, but you can still see some of the rhetoric and manipulation in the folks still upset if you call bridget a trans girl or bump into the weird gooners upset about evil trannies transing their precious femboys, etc.

i'm not talking about the casual use of the term to mean "crossdressing boy" but the cesspit of internet culture that popularized the term. i just can't personally see it as a value neutral word, it has too many connotations of objectification, exploitation and victimhood.

i owned a flagship phone with it and all I can say is thank goodness the port was on a tiny little separate circuit board, because I replaced it several times before I finally replaced the phone
