In western liberal democracies, “homeownership” via mortgage is sold like some kind of dream, yet most people are essentially tenants to a bank for 30 years, and soon maybe 50 years. A lifetime of debt slavery for a place to live (which should be a human right, by the way). Totally normal, right?
