Hey @paxaus.bsky.social not sure if you can help or not but I've lost a very special pin in the shape of the Sarawak flag from my late father - possibly on the premises on the PAX showfloor (or at least I only noticed it was missing after visiting the floor and returning to my hotel room)

“Ned the Baker, multiple rumors have been spread you’ve actually been replaced with a spider-like monster, any comment?”

“For the last time, the spider eggs in my pies, webbing on my roof, and the increase of spiders in town aren’t because I’m a giant spider in disguise… It’s an logistics change.”

Hey hey, Bluesky fam! Appreciate all the love and shares so far for Arch & Reggie, but we’re still a bit behind 10%. I know we can get halfway soon, so consider turning that share into a $5 pledge today! Kickstarter ends in 25 days 🗡️✨

I will gladly draw all of the frogs as a symbol for the movement, explicitly to take them back from the fuckers who co opted Pepe for their nazi shit.

Not sure if many know, but considering it is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, this might just feel fitting.

If you ever come across a website that does a CloudFlare security prompt, and it asks you to "copy" something - DON'T. This is an attempt to get you to run malware. It's becoming more common.

UK Gouvernment: Payment Processors Can Ban NSFW Content
According to the UK treasury, payment processors are in the right and the gouvernment has no plans to step in. This puts it in direct contrast to what artists and the UK games industry have asked for.

As someone with a bit of a special interest in mascot costumes (why yes I am a furry how did you know), whoever they got in the Chiitan suit is EXTREMELY GOOD at physical comedy and knowing how to move within the suit's limitations

That little "Is there more? Oh there's more!" at the end is PEAK

Chiitan has a dream.
I hope that one day the term LGBT will become a thing of the past.
I will continue to spread my message until we live in a world where everyone can love freely and is free from persecution and discrimination.
Until then, let's all support each other🤍

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

I literally cover as many indie games as I can. It is vehemently my passion to keep doing it, but I know how many clicks I get because the interest simply isn't there compared to the big titles.
spookycutewitch.bsky.social
“Why isn’t anyone covering our indie games?”

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015

Stop buying Harry Potter stuff. Books, movies, games, etc.

There are so many great fantasy stories that are more worth your time and made by pretty cool people.

If you absolutely NEED this franchise for whatever reason, it is morally okay to pirate anything from it.

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

And for dinner? A vegan burger from Royal Stacks in Melbourne city proper and man oh man, I honestly could not tell this patty was not beef proper. It even has the kind of slight pink to the "meat" to seal the illusion, along with great mouthfeel and texture.

Also, took my yearly pilgrimage to Critical Hit, an anime and Japanese gaming weeaboo merchandise and toys store in Melbourne and was about to walk away without getting anything (being an old boo can be hard if you're not into currently popular stuff) but then I saw THIS

(god I'll be absolutely destroyed if it's not as good as I remember it to be - that's why I only bought the one bottle as opposed to like. a box of them to bring back to Adelaide with me)

Bovril in particular is a SPECTACULAR find for me because I used it as a sauce on my eggs/rice growing up in Malaysia and I haven't had it in almost 10 years when supermarkets in Adelaide stopped stocking it and literally couldn't find it anywhere - even when I went back to Malaysia two years ago
edwyntiong.com
And the supermarkets? holy shit. There was SO much, both in terms if quantity and quality of goods offered. An entire section devoted to vegan foods, which included vegan laksa paste (!) and vegan SALMON SASHIMI (!!!) dear lord. But for me, the two items in the picture below are what made my day.

First stop was O'Town where I had the chicken curry laksa special for first lunch, then went to tour the chinese supermarkets with Vera (and an official Bandai gashapon centre) followed by chicken rice for second lunch with my cousin. If you're ever in Melbourne, make that trip to O'Town!

After a wild couple of days of GCAP and the AGDAs it was nice to have a single day to slow down, take a train over to Glen Waverly, and had a double lunch and also got to see all the amazing Chinese supermarkets thanks to @veratan.bsky.social who has blessed and cursed me with this knowledge.

No, no I couldn't - not me, certainly couldn't be me! I would never hurt anyone! Not unless they wronged me as a child so terribly that I changed my identity and later on became friends with my childhood bullies as an adult and started picking them off one by one and they never knew it was me...
