Just caught the beginning of CHARLIE’S ANGELS (2000) for the first time in a long time.

What the fuck happens to that passenger plane after Drew Barrymore (as LL Cool J) opens the door mid-flight and jumps out with the dude that has a bomb strapped to him?
Tried to take a day off. My car had a different plan and hit me with the check engine light and battery light. Fun!
RIP Drew Struzan, one of the greatest cinematic artists of our time.
Been a long time since I had a triple feature day for work, but today I’m seeing BUGONIA, FRANKENSTEIN, and BLACK PHONE 2.

Hope it’s a good day!

Welcome back, Daniel Day-Lewis.
A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE is riveting, chilling, and unsettling. Relentlessly paced thriller in a RASHOMON-esque dressing that plays out the government dealing with a nuclear missile headed towards Chicago in several different ensemble perspectives across three chapters. Loved it.
Let’s go, Kathryn Bigelow.
Shame Aziz Ansari is undercutting it by doing the Riyadh Comedy Fest though. Really makes the movie’s message feel disingenuous.
GOOD FORTUNE is the anti-capitalist comedy we need now. Incredibly hilarious and completely unsubtle in what it has to say in the best way possible Keanu Reeves hasn’t been this funny in a long time. It has a classic comedy feel to it, the kind that don’t get made these days.
Yeah, the emotional center isn’t quite as strong, but there’s a different kind of sweetness between the characters as they jam and work through their issues.
That might be why the movie doesn’t necessarily feel thrilling or exciting and may seem “boring” on the surface. But Dwayne Johnson’s performance is so genuine and grounded that I can’t help but feel for the guy who put everything into this sport and never really got the glory.
THE SMASHING MACHINE may seem like a conventional sports movie without the dramatic peaks and valleys that a movie worthy athlete would endure, but I think that’s the point. It shines a light on two UFC fighters who were just normal guys before the sport had reached its pinnacle.

Because you deserve nice things, one of my favorite wholesome videos.

Today we celebrate Madeline Kahn on the 83rd year of her birth with her duet of Sing After Me with Grover.

I honestly do not want to be friends with you if Madeline or Grover or Madeline and Grover together do not make you smile.
Made it across town in crappy traffic for some laughs. Hoping Keanu Reeves gives me the life of a rich man soon. #GoodFortune

Just gonna leave this here.
In PEACEMAKER Season 2, Chris Smith visits an alternate dimension. Notably (so far), there has not been a single person of color seen in that dimension.

For Decoding TV, @amazingspidertalk.com explores what's probably going on here.

What's Going On In Peacemaker's Alternate Reality, Exactly?
I have a theory.

My cure to the male loneliness epidemic is to take away every boy’s phone and young man’s phone, then force them to get together to play Goldeneye and Mario Party in a basement for hours on end. Bingo bango, problem solved.

One Battle After Another has so many good bar trivia team names in it.
Oh yeah, that was fantastic too.
