-Air travel drives 5% of US GDP.
-A *domestic* flying boycott could now change the game. The economy couldn't handle it any more than it could handle Trump's wildest tariffs.

We'll keep saying this as long as it takes for folks to see the potential.

This week in 1988: 1,000+ ACT UP demonstrators shut down the FDA headquarters, demanding (and eventually winning) action on developing HIV/AIDS treatments. ACT UP's militant and creative actions always included powerful visual artwork, and paved the way for movements in the decades to come.

Absolutely right, if things stay on the current trajectory. But here’s where we have to say, “Things can’t stay on this trajectory.” We have to treat fascism as a full-blown emergency and find peaceful protest methods to match. Look into what we’re doing, join, amplify.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

One other factor here: laypeople can only encourage these unions to strike, and offer support if they do. Boycotting is something all of us can do proactively, without delay.
