She finally landed a job with a CDC contractor doing data stuff she’s trained on. Shutdown delayed her start a little. On Friday they RIFed the entire section the contractor works with, so she’s back to square one before her start date 👍

I know a woman who just graduated from a public health grad program and CDC fellowship. All this debt loaded up and the entire field goes up in smoke. Her backstop was a job at the school, but with grant cancellations that’s out too. Her republican mom: can you find something in the private sector

And before you ask, I cleaned out the little trap in the dishwasher, I ran the hot water before turning it on, ran the full cycle not the eco one, etc. The detergent is the only explanation

We got store brand dish detergent and now the dishes aren't getting clean. This is counter to my deeply held belief that store brand is pretty much the same as the name brand

So this IL Hospital Association memo describes an incident where ICE detained a US citizen, gave them HEART PROBLEMS, took them to a hospital where the fought with medical personnel, then left when they realized they detained a CITIZEN.

I put a sleeve on inside out, realized my mistake, picked out the stitches and redid the sleeve correctly. Then I did the other sleeve inside out too. Now I'm going to bed.
