I need a Signe Bruun shirt or jersey for my husband (family name relation). Where can I find one?

He needs it to troll his students who support Morocco and Colombia lol

Oh, the book about it is coming out in like 2 weeks, I think. We've already bought it for my library.

In honor of spooky month, share a 4 word horror story that only someone in your profession would understand

I'll go first: Six page commercial lease.

I forced a few coworkers to smell some older film reel to reassure me. Most of them had no idea why, but one did and completely understood my phantom vinegar smells worry

With the holidays upon us, don't give to Salvation Army. Not even change. It's a scumbag "charity" run by anti-gay zealots.

Habitat for Humanity is great. Your local Food Bank is great.

So many "charities" are for-profit scams. Use Charity Navigator to vet them. www.charitynavigator.org

Fun fact about the Salvation Army: they use a form of substance use treatment called work therapy. Oh, and by treatment, I mean they have people who have been convicted of drug charges work for their stores & warehouses in exchange for room, board, around a $1 a week, and minimal actual therapy.

One of the best stones in the cemetery down the street from my workplace
A cemetery statue depicting a young girl looking to the left with her hands clasped above her heart.

It was built some time in 1925. Our side of town was the Jewish side, still have a Jewish cemetery for children around the corner. I'll have to poke around. Previous house was completely in the red, too many Italians. Most of the issues here seem to be religious rather than racial

I have issues with my religion, but this is when they are at their best. Send in all the nuns. Hold a High Holy on the grounds in front of the facility. Bring the choir and an outdoor organ.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

How would one find out if their house had these in MA? My neighborhood right now was "less desirable"/yellow on one of the maps from Mapping Inequality. I don't know that it would have had one originally though

If this thing keeps going on much longer, I will probably be sending out a message to MA Library programmers and would be happy to include your blurb for virtual programming.

Have you contacted your local public libraries to do a speaking tour? Usually we have budgets for a speakers fees and sometimes let you sell your books at the table. I've already spent most of my FY budget, but I'm sure you could easily get a few events a month if you are mobile/do virtual ones

They did! Maybe I caught them at a bad moment last time. But now I will have the two of them, or I will have one and my dad can have the other.

Very rare to have Iappini things...so this is great.

Not up yet but will drop info closer to the program dates. They might also make their way onto the MA250 page if I can figure out how

Would you like to come do mine? Cause I hates it.

I definitely would love the help when I hit the capstone part of my Masters program. But that isn't for another two-ish semesters. Right now, I'm knee-deep in readings and weekly discussion board posts which aren't really great for a club

Turns out the seller had two of these and my dad decided we needed both of them. Huzzah!

I really wish this person would sell me this glass...it is from my great-grandfather's shop on Hanover Street.

Some messages are printed on 18-by-24-inch yard signs or smaller placards; others are drawn ornately by hand on paper or written in chalk. The few who will talk about the signs they created say the urgency of the moment compelled them to act.

Signs popping up around D.C. note: ‘ICE kidnapping happened here’
The signs range in style and mark numerous locations where people have been taken by federal agents.
