the epstein files aren’t dropping & this isn’t a distraction from them.

this is a fascist setting up the field to eliminate every point of friction that might impede an attempt to seize absolute power.

quippy posts about epstein are delaying your realization of, & motivation to fight, that fact.

BREAKING: Israel’s government just approved the first phase of the ceasefire deal and a ceasefire is supposed to go into effect immediately.

Israel killed at least 29 Palestinians today, according to Al Jazeera.
CNN headline: Israeli government approves Gaza ceasefire resolution CNN article screenshot reads: Where things stand
• JUST IN: Israel's government has approved the US-brokered Gaza ceasefire and hostage release resolution, according to the prime minister's office. Officials have said the ceasefire will take effect
immediately.
• US presence: The United States is sending 200 troops to be on the ground to monitor the plan's implementation, a senior US official said. "No US troops are intended to go into Gaza," another official said. Al Jazeera update reads: Four killed al-Sabra attack, bringing day's death toll to 29: Wafa

The Palestinian news agency has reported that four people have been killed in the Israeli attack we've been reporting in the Sabra neighbourhood in Gaza City.
That brings the day's death toll in Gaza to 29, according to the news agency, despite the ceasefire breakthroughs.

After that vile performance yesterday Parliament should trigger a non-confidence vote and hold new elections.

Elections, flawed as they and the parties are, represent the one tool we have to oust governments. Normalize demanding them.

"Resistance to the United States is a moral imperative, and it is at this point abundantly clear Americans won’t do it themselves."

"Americans would use “salami tactics.” Taking slices Canadian sovereignty and independence at a time. The first steps would not be tanks rolling across the border, but the Canadian government allowing, or being forced to allow organizations like the US Marshalls or the FBI to operate inside Canada."

I hope a lot of Canadians are paying attention to these kinds of moves, because Carney will meet them in the middle

This was the most jarring thing for me when I got back from Afghanistan. The entire world just went on. Perhaps it shouldn't have been a surprise but to find the rest of Canada be "oh we're still doing that?"

I honestly think a bigger point needs to be made in high school history classes that people still had to work during invasions. People had to work during the London Blitz. People still have to work in Ukraine. Taxes often go up during war and the people pay for that.

Now it's a day later and the APTN and CBC Indigenous news sites still have no story about, or even mention in another story of Israel abducting, in international waters, a First Nations person who has Canadian citizenship.

Mskwaasin Agnew (Dene/Cree, Salt River First Nation) was among the humanitarians on board Conscience that was illegally boarded by Israel in international waters.
We are asking everyone to contact the Canadian Government (email addresses & phone numbers on the poster)
