I got to the best part of FF7
A comic parodying a scene from Final Fantasy VII (1997).
- Panel 1:
Cloud and Sephiroth are standing on opposite ends of a corridor.
Sephiroth: "blah blah mother blah blah reunion"
- Panel 2:
Sephiroth (from offscreen): "Hey Cloud, think fast"
Cloud (confused, not paying attention): "Huh?"
- Panel 3:
Cloud is hit by a piece of Materia from offscreen, right in the stomach, going "OOF".
- Panel 4:
Cloud lies on the floor in pain as the Materia rolls away. Sephiroth flies over him, flipping him the bird with both hands.

At Twitter's peak you could post a question and have 18 replies within an hour: 5 automated garbage, 4 bad jokes, 6 confidently wrong, 1 from someone with a PhD on the topic, a set of serial replies from someone with a hyperfixation that provides more useful info than the PhD, and a death threat

Have you ever felt rivalry with an upstart so hard that you start having visions of them as the wind dramatically blows into the empty ballroom at night.
Ryuuzaki has a vision of Oka. The wind blows into the room.

When I saw the real segment of this I actually giggled remembering this bit
Batman Beyond villain: What vegetable are you?

Batman Beyond: I'm brassica oleracea

Batman Beyond villain: Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

And that's the first two episodes of #RedBaron!

You know, for a show that came out in the 70's it sure feels like it's from the 60's.
