This might be my favorite Diane Keaton performance, released only a few months away from REDS, which totally overshadowed it.

She did so much amazing work. If you have not seen LOVE & DEATH, watch it tonight and marvel at what a fucking lunatic she was. Solid gold comedy chops.

Re-watching Shoot the Moon in honor of Diane Keaton. Holy hell, what a great movie. And so intense. Really captures that feeling of being in the pressure cooker of a failing relationship. As divorce dramas go, Marriage Story is Pee-wee's Big Adventure compared to this.

I know we're not supposed to talk about Woody Allen, but ANNIE HALL is one of the supreme American movies & Diane Keaton's wild charisma is 90% of the reason why. And btw her performance of "Seems Like Old Times" is pure magic—up there with the greatest musical scenes in cinema, zero doubt
