these candles smell like apple and black cherry, the green ooze is there to disgust your enemies and thwart you from trying to bite into it because of how delicious it smells

historically filters by language have silenced queer and black voices, so it’s a valid concern. i would be a whole lot more critical of this labeller if they applied it to the entire platform vs having users do it themselves

this has clearly become a hostile work environment for them and even if they have helped the snowball of that hostility grow, seeing them take responsibility in the form of showing how to deescalate for them personally is good. i think this is how things should work

i hope it goes well! setting boundaries is way better than closing off communication entirely, and i do not think the engineers on the team should be on call for every point of criticism coming in. they have a job to do, and that includes enabling tools like this

the first thing i checked when i woke up was the nobel peace prize announcement - it‘s refreshing to see an organization not capitulate to violence and threats, as well as emphasizing that climate change denial is violence

my dad’s 2nd wife put me in tennis lessons but with a vintage racket from when she was a teen back in the caverns of Hell in the early 1300s and so i never gave it a real shot so this is my penance to the sport, the candle is v good

posted on mastodon on my way to see my dad about how tomorrow will be one month since he got sick and how it put an indefinite hiatus on our 15+ year indefinite hiatus…someone in a similar situation described the feeling perfectly, saying “i have no idea what i want out of this.”
