Does anyone know if Darick & Garth know Homelander is in the next DC event? Just curious, as I haven’t seen them mention it

Queens, remember the main judges on drag race are quite old now. So if you’re gonna do a Five Nights at Freddy’s reference a) they won’t get it and b) you won’t be able to say it’s a reference to that because copyright

The Orphan Crusher is here to stay. If we don’t feed more Orphans to the Crusher the Orphan Crushing industry will die. It’s time to wake up to the reality of the Orphan Crusher. The Orphan Crusher is worth billions. We need to teach people to use the Orphan Crusher. It’s here to stay.

Every time I'm on a panel I tell myself I won't get on my soap box and be overly wordy and pretentious... Oh well! 😅

Thanks @brightonuni.bsky.social and the Coast Is Queer Team!!!
DJ Ritu, myself and Eleanor Medhurst at the Culture Is Queer panel on queer history. I'm holding a mic and looking tired!

Randomly revealed on panel on what the third season was originally going to be, the stupid, naive reason I was given for why it was passed on, and the truth of what killed The Pride’s momentum. Because today I was feeling like a chaos agent lol

I'm a committed small press author & editor. Small presses are the seed-heads of the books world & they are scorched. Pls read and share this excellent letter on the situation & what's needed in @thebookseller.com, signatories inc Peninsula Press, @cipherpress.bsky.social @silver-press.bsky.social

Also interesting: apparently, my book, The Pride Omnibus, sold out at the event. However, they hadn’t been able to get many copies. It seems that the Diamond problems are even affecting availability of The Pride now, which is sad to hear. Honestly, get them while you can if you see copies!

That was a really fun panel to be on, my first in years! Thanks to @coastisqueerfest.bsky.social for having me on the Graphic Sexuality - The Novel Art of Queer

Truth bombs, fun and hard, scoops, and more were shared. Plus nice to be in the Brighton area albeit briefly

Brighton, I am in you!

Seriously, the amount of ads and pop ups on most sites now make the internet practically unusable. I try to read an article on the vast majority of sites and it’s constantly interrupted by pop up ads that don’t just obscure, but readjust the whole window, so the writing moves around.

This is really interesting. And have to admit, some of the comments made about a certain comics platform here speak to me greatly

Absolutely. I’ve all but given up being able to survive as a creative anymore, I’ll just tick over releasing things slowly and just getting things out when I can. Perhaps I’ll pull a Van Gogh and be appreciated after I’m dead lol. Though I doubt even that with the current trajectory
joeglass.bsky.social
It’s okay. I just blocked them now. Whether it is a bot or the actual author, I don’t much care. They’re annoying me now.
joeglass.bsky.social
Yeah, any time I do a social media post about my book I start getting them. In fact, last night I randomly got the same email from the same person 4 times, despite blocking each one and reporting it as spam

(Also a mad early start for me to travel to Brighton, and coming back same day later in the afternoon, but I’m hoping I’ll have an hour or two to be by the sea lol)
joeglass.bsky.social
Tomorrow I’ll be on the The Novel Art of Being Queer panel at The Coast is Queer event in Brighton!

Come check it out and say hey!

Possibly? Particularly given the current atmosphere in the air regarding LGBTQ+ content. That might be worth angling towards.

What do people not understand about being a) working class, b) completely fucked over by the comics industry leaving me fucking bankrupt and c) getting fucked daily by this government determined to make poor people poorer by the fucking minute? If I had money I would fucking use it
joeglass.bsky.social
This, btw, was stuff I can do, like “have you tried posting to this place or that” not, “hey what can I throw money at for someone else to do it”. If I could afford for someone to do it for me, I’d just bloody do that, that isn’t hard to find

So, what did DC actually do when people were outraged over Andrea Sorrentino using A.I. slop in a Batman book?
I can't recall any repercussions?
