I'll be leaning into a weekly newsletter as social media is less effective delivering info to the the people who want it.
I just sent out one today. I won't be abusing anyone's inbox - just one email a week. If you want to know about projects, art sales, and cool stuff

More than 200,000 Danish citizens have signed a petition to buy California as a response to Trump’s attempt to take Greenland.

They say they will provide Californians with “rule of law, universal health care, fact-based politics, and a lifetime supply of Danish pastries.”

A clear sign he's surrounded himself with idiots is how they're letting him threaten former allies like this.

Friends, my little brother is undergoing chemo for a very treatable form of leukemia. He's not destitute or anything, but his treatment comes with a hefty out-of-pocket upfront cost. He's our town's beloved coach/teacher/first responder, so folks here want to support him with a benefit auction.

We're doing some CHEW 1-pagers for Comics: The Magazine.

Ten years after CHEW concluded, Rob Guillory & I decided it's time to get the band back together (having briefly done so for bits of CHEW/Outer Darkness & a Chew Ukraine benefit book story.)

Could this be a baby-step toward something new?

Good, albeit redundant news to everyone rationally opposed to gen A.I.:

Researchers Just Found Something That Could Shake the AI Industry to Its Core
Researchers found compelling evidence that AI models are actually copying copyrighted data, not "learning" from it.

He just threatened tariffs on countries that don't support his Greenland plans. It's more likely a civil war will break out before trump can launch his invasion.
At which point, the majority of those tariff targets will be more help to the US people than the Democrat leadership have been so far

He doesnt care what Greenland wants. He doesn't care what Canada or Mexico wants. He doesn't care what the US people want.

He didn't care what E. Jean Carroll or those underage girls wanted either.

This is what he is.

Good.
Why the hell do any of these arts-dependant organizations think allowing any A.I. in is ever a good idea?
Fucking morons.
San Diego Comic-Con will no longer allow AI 'art' to be displayed at their event

"Material created by AI either partially or wholly, is not allowed in the art show"

This follows backlash from artists after SDCC initially indicated AI-generated work would be permitted

I made a handful of images with Midjourney when it was essentially a lovecraftian palette generator on launch, but never knowingly used any Gen. A.I. since
Never used ChatGPT for anything. Not once. Never will.

Comic-Con should be a celebration of illustrators, comic artists, writers and so on. Elevating the actual craftsmen and women who make the works that fans love!

Instead it opens the door to slop that can only exist due to the stolen work of those same creatives, to then displace creatives. Gross!

I saw this in an IG ad and thought, "'70s coke dealer Ken doll?!"
Sadly, no.
It's a Harry Potter thing and now I don't want it.

Were I running for President, I would float full pardons for everyone opposing the ICE actions and mandatory prison sentences for anyone employed by DHS or worked with them, including sub-contractors.
The fear of consequences would do more than any new "we're concerned" statement

ICE as an institution is exactly 23 years old. The republic thrived for 2 centuries without it. Most adults are old enough to remember a time when it did not exist. It was crammed through at a time when the country was reeling in shock. We should have known better. 9/11 was not an immigration issue.

The largest issue I have with the majority of the political "opposition" to Trumpism is how few can see the nationalism and corporatism of many of their would-be leaders is almost as bad. There needs to be fundamental change, not palatable delays to inevitable fascism

I'm thinking we should check the social media of US citizens when they enter Canada. If they're Trumpers we hold them overnight in a frigid warehouse with no beds then send them back.
We got enough of our own white supremacists here already.
