Doom E1M3 on a pair of monome grids, by way of #maxmsp. The grid display you see here is laggy bc I’m sending the camera over wifi, but irl there’s no noticeable lag.

Not sure why I’m getting those little flashes on the 256.

Here’s my fork of #orca with vim bindings if anyone wants to try it. I’ve only tested it on macOS

the idea that freedom is in our DNA is just a misinterpretation of the fact that we’re a nation of finicky whiners who don’t like to be personally inconvenienced

At least we no longer have to hear about freedom being in Americans' DNA or whatever. Turns out we love to eat shit and bow to some bloated halfwit like any other people throughout history

Some interesting Lissajous curves from a sine oscillator and a lpf/tanh saturation plugin I’m working on. Not 100% sure but I think the first couple of these clips show structure from filter resonances above the Nyquist frequency or something.

The scope plugin is by @unplug.red

oooo I wonder if that’s part of why they named it that. I’ve never thought about where the name came from

The audio is unrelated to the scope. Just wanted some ~vibes~ for the video.

I heard someone on a podcast say that music is boring now and, look, I am saying this as kindly as I can…skill issue.

Thanks! Orca itself is not my creation, to be clear. I’m just adding vim features on my fork. Here’s the creators’ page for it:

not to get political or anything, but I got basic vim keybinds and normal/insert/visual/replace modes working in orca
A screenshot of my terminal, showing a git log and the orca TUI with a half dozen operators onscreen. It’s not a very interesting screenshot tbh.

it's funny when people pretend capitalism is the only possible motivation for anyone to do anything when every day stuff like this is happening all around us

someone on the Motorola forums was having the same problem with the camera I've been having, but I just have to share the image they posted to demonstrate the issue.
it's the funniest shit I've ever seen in my life dude

The photo is of an elderly woman in gray clothes that has been so bizarrely processed that it looks both totally over and desaturated
