I try to post a videogame beach with the name of the game everyday, and underwater ones sometimes. And also Fridays are Pool Days! If you want more info about a game ask! Everybody is welcome here! Lene She/Her 🏳️‍⚧️

Happy Pride Month!

I'm going to take this opportunity to compile a list of games with LGBTQ+ themes or characters.
I'm going to try to stick with the lesser-known ones to give them visibility.

1/5🧵
Sorry We're Closed (à la mode games, 2024) Mediterranea Inferno (Eyeguys, Lorenzo Redaelli, 2023) The MISSING: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories (White Owls, 2018) Tell Me Why (DONTNOD Entertainment, 2020)

Virtual Park (Chiisana Kyojin Microman, PS1, Takara, 1999)

Exactly! Like one of those creepypastas from the 2000s. A replay wouldn't be bad, actually, now that I think about it.

Sorry for this digression, but since it's the spooky month, I didn't think it was right to keep such a cool game all to myself. I'm back to posting beaches!

Truly cool and original animations create a haunting atmosphere. Despite being exclusively Japanese, it's still enjoyable with minimal or no Japanese, as the stories are very visual.

Second Spooky game of the year finished! Dark Tales from the Lost Soul. A pretty cool and short FMV game (about an hour and a half or two hours long) with three horror stories in which you have to react to events and make decisions that change the course of the story and the ending.

Ghost Writer intro (Dark Tales from the Lost Soul, PS1, Vertex Zero, 1999) I couldn't resist such a cool intro.

Unexpectedly comfy vibes for this new snowy dream-dungeon in our continuing playthrough of Alundra for PS1.

The music has generally been lovely overall, though.

I've been trying out a pretty spooky PS1 game with some great cinematics. And I'm tempted to skip the account themes for a moment.

As a first time FFT player currently about thirty hours into the game (not the remaster, just a happy coincidence), I've been encouraged to see that my personal pastime of yelling at Algus for being the fucking worst is, in fact, a well-established tradition for longtime fans. This fucking guy.

So this guy was pretty much wrong about everything.
Argath aka Algus yells "Animals have no God!!" like a jerk. The original translation of Final Fantasy Tactics is notoriously rough, but I always liked how blunt this line was.

they said it was impossible for a Genesis game to contain this much unrefined DOS Energy

what else have they been hiding from us?

I think it's that kind of graphics that help create that unsettling, "I shouldn't be playing this" vibe.

As well as this, I feel quite strongly that the increased prominence in recent years of social media influencers who engage in nothing but ragebait content and harassment has proverbially sucked all the air out of the room, content mills producing bullshit at speed who dominate gaming conversations.

“Why isn’t anyone covering our indie games?”

1. The gaming press has been decimated by business suits, and the whims of an uncaring search engine behemoth
2. Doing the job means you get death threats and harassment
3. There are more games released in 1 week than there were in entire months in 2015

Because It's sick! Is a really cool one, good music, good action, really cool FMVs. What we missed in the West!😢

I'd like to think such people don't exist. How could they? They'd be heartless beings
videogamebeach.bsky.social
The truth is, I'm getting used to adding these extra bits of information or details in some games that I find interesting for one reason or another. They allow me to expand a little more on the games without changing the topic of the account. I hope you're enjoying it too!
