But those people didn't put their own names in the manifests. English speakers often likely did. If the immigrant objected at Ellis Island, what did the worker who just wanted to go home do?

They lie.

They blame the victims.

George did nothing wrong. He was just trying to get to work and was hit with chemical munitions and detained for three days.
