A climate action advocate running on a drained battery. I tried to convince y'all that the constant criticism of Democrats was going to put the GOP back in charge, but oh well here we are. Supporting Democrats is a lot better than living under GOP rule.

Whether or not Israel was committing genocide last year or this year is for the courts to decide. That's just the way I am.

If you accuse Democrats of having supported a genocide, you are a lying Kremlin useful idiot imso.

You've been gaslit into believing lies like these.
Rich Dools Jr. (Rocky) @richdoolsjr.bsky.social

Well sir, what they did didn't work out for them or us? They funded genocide for 4 years & lost 6 million voters! What they didn't do, they didn't even try to codify roe, increase minimum wage, stop price gouging, expand the Supreme Court, universal healthcare, get homeless veterans off the streets!

One note about SB79: the tiny, NIMBY-est cities in California got hit the hardest, since it's much harder to play with the zoning. SB79 allows cities to reallocate their zoning "budget" to other stations, but that's not much help when you only have 1-2 stations! It's clever jujitsu.

Politico cites an anonymous government official to claim this was “a mutual decision by BLM and the handful of companies that had proposed the seven individual solar power projects that would have comprised Esmeralda 7.”

gotta love every single major news outlet, including former employers of mine, declining to say i reported the solar project cancelation first

Obama was sadly naive about D.C. politics prior to becoming POTUS. I wish that he would have waited and served a few more terms as Senator prior to going for the top job.

Most Americans have come to dislike experience, but I still think it is quite valuable and a good thing.

Spencer Cox is well aware of how well offshore wind works. The fossil fuel industry pays him to spread lies about it.

Heck, the Great Salt Lake would be a great place for some wind turbines, with protections for migratory birds etc. It's only about 18 feet deep.

I agree that offshore wind would be a bad idea in Utah.

the republican governor of utah spencer cox cites my story about esmeralda 7’s apparent cancelation to criticize the trump administration:

“this is how we lose the AI/energy arms race with china”
Spencer Cox: This is how we lose the AI/energy arms race with China. Our country needs an all-of-the-above approach to energy (like Utah). We should be all in on nuclear/natural gas/geothermal and keeping our coal plants open for as long as possible. However, there are innovation/permitting/supply chain issues slowing those down. While intermittent sources have been overvalued in the past (and offshore wind is a disaster and should be discontinued), the incredible leaps in battery technology completely change the value proposition of solar in the right places. Solar with batteries can now be close to baseload power and we should keep these projects rolling until we get the gas/nuclear/geothermal plants we need.

NextEra Energy has written me back saying they remain committed to their solar projects that used to be a part of Esmeralda 7

Calling them “early stage” and confirming they’ll need their own “comprehensive environmental analysis”

So, yeah, Esmeralda 7 is Joever
NextEra Energy Resources is one of six companies pursuing projects in Esmeralda County, Nevada. We are in the early stage of development and remain committed to pursuing our project’s comprehensive environmental analysis by working closely with the Bureau of Land Management.

Yes, perhaps the insurance, pharmaceutical, and doctor lobbying groups will always be able to keep Americans paying more for poor healthcare I fear as well.

I am proud to stand up for New Jerseyans facing rising costs in the Senate, but the Republicans in the House are refusing to even show up. We have to come together to lower health care costs for the American people.

Firing public servants during a government shutdown is cruel, unnecessary, and inflicts pain on working families.

It does nothing to bring the sides closer to a bipartisan solution that reopens the government, and it may violate collective bargaining agreements and federal labor laws.

Republicans own this shutdown—every job lost, every family hurt, every service gutted is because of their decisions.

I've never seen a time when our country has been facing a true crisis, and the president & GOP leaders won't even TALK to Democrats about a solution.

Democrats are ready to work on a solution to reopen the gov & stop health care costs from skyrocketing. Where are Republicans?

The ACA tax credits have been life changing. I spoke out about how families in my district would be impacted if Republicans let them expire and allow costs to skyrocket.

We must protect affordable care.
