Reminder that during the shutdown, WIC, the program that ensures new mothers have formula, milk, and other things they need to keep their babies healthy, is under threats. Some states have contingencies in place, but in many, funding will run out, leaving new parents high and dry.

My advice starts with: for the love of god, stop putting jargon and acroyms into your response options. People don't know what it means and it messes everything up.

the broad public does not like chaos and disorder and everything you can do to emphasize that it is the federal government that is responsible for chaos and disorder is a point in your favor. it’s classic nonviolent confrontation!

I really need subject matter experts who don't design surveys for a living to consult with people who design surveys before they send a survey out. I can't really help you when your questions are shit.

California is really leading the way on this, and a big part of it is net metering, which allows people with rooftop solar to sell their surplus back to the grid. Coupled with pricing that incentivizes using electricity at off-peak hours, we could actually get to net-zero.

I've ridden a lot of bike lanes that felt like this but I'd never seen one that actually looks like this before.

Is it possible that my policy that involves attacking Americans with helicopters and ripping children away from their parents is wrong?

No. It’s the protesters who are out of touch.

Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it."

It’s impossible to overstate how much “abolish ice” is the normie position now here in chicago — just countless random moms at toddler soccer on a park district field asking me where I bought my anti-ice t-shirt. average people don’t like our neighborhoods being terrorized.

A friend ran the Chicago marathon today and said he couldn’t count the number of FUCK ICE signs along the way.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

Also: if you work for ICE, even if you’re not one of the ones arresting citizens or tackling 15-year-olds or zip-tying kids together and segregating them by race, you’re part of the mechanism making it happen, and you should suffer long-term social and post-regime-change consequences.

When this is over, do not forget what ICE did, and what ICE is. And do not make room for them in society. Make sure they know that they are, and will continue to be, reviled and beneath contempt.

ICE abducted a 15-year-old autistic boy during a bathroom break and kept him hidden for nearly a week.
His mother thought he was missing. Even local police couldn’t find him because ICE never told anyone they had him.

He was selling fruit with his mom when he asked to use the restroom.

I’m glad Joe Rogan is finally acknowledging that the administration is going too far on how it’s treating people but I grant him zero trust until he acknowledges his part in endorsing the guy who said he was going to do it.
