So what does it look like if we have more than 55 Senate seats in 2028 & the right end of the caucus is Jeanne Shaheen instead of Ben Nelson & Jon Ossoff instead of Tom Carper?

Let me tell you what it looks like: it looks good
this is a disorienting moment for elder millennials imo because many of us had the 2004-2006 elections as like our formative memory and so there’s a real whiff of IT’S ALL HAPPENING AGAIN that is destabilizing even if you try to resist it

The constitution guarantees a republican (small R) form of government at the state level. A plain reading of the text should prohibit maps like these.

Reconstruction 2.0 is the only possible response.
there is no legitimate definition of the term "democracy" under which maps like these are "democratic." this level of stovepiping is banana republic shit. this is effectively no different from stuffing a ballot box
Indiana Republicans have unveiled their proposal to re-gerrymander the congressional map & expand their current 7-2 majority to 9-0.

The Dem-held 1st would flip to Trump+12 & the 7th to Trump+19. All 7 GOP seats would be at least Trump+18.

I swear to god car brain just completely makes people into zombies. Way too many people driving around fish tailing turns, locking wheels to stop, tailgating, no headlights on (I saw a Sheriff’s Deputy doing that one!).

Folks. It sucks to go slow, but that’s just the reality when conditions are bad

Hear me out: child daycare at workplaces. Small business can coordinate with other neighbouring small business. Take your babies to work. If there's a problem, your right there. Fund it publicly. Like school.
After school programs- kids are brought to workplace daycares.
It's an equity thing.

Important lesson here for democrats:

Oligarchs and corporations respond to incentives. So if there’s a threat of punishment for wrongdoing, they’ll just do the right thing. But the accountability has to be real.
Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

A city with a few hundred robotaxis is cool and futuristic, but with 100,000+ it'll be gridlocked and dangerous.

All the more reason for local leaders to adopt congestion pricing and automatic traffic enforcement ASAP.
