I know this case is all over - & it should be - but Turning Point USA has waged a harassment campaign against faculty for more than a decade. I know of at least a half dozen other faculty, personally, who have received death threats and several of those who felt so unsafe they too left their homes

I’ve told this story before, so I’ll try to tell an abbreviated version. Back when I was straight out of college and BIG broke, my back account was $1000 overdrawn. Went to watch night service praying for a miracle. Two days later my account was at $0 with no explanation…

I don’t believe god is a genie. And that shift definitely changed my prayers. I’ve also made peace with that fact that god isn’t stepping down to intervene. Based on that my prayers are mostly for direction, favor, alignment, and divine protection.
