It’s taken us 30 years of friendship to finally realize the person we wanted to date for so long is each other. It’s very new and we’d only been together a week when the concert happened. He hasn’t any concerns now.

This week in 1988: 1,000+ ACT UP demonstrators shut down the FDA headquarters, demanding (and eventually winning) action on developing HIV/AIDS treatments. ACT UP's militant and creative actions always included powerful visual artwork, and paved the way for movements in the decades to come.

Getting the testing was hard. Eventually it was an interventional pain MD who looked at my films and found the nerve damage 5 other doctors had missed. I specifically looked for a spine specialist as a last resort. I sincerely hope you can find permanent relief as soon as possible.

I have always wanted to study the HOW of migration in birds’ brains. My friend lives in Montreal and he’s still running his A/C? Um, it’s October. I am worried migration patterns have permanently shifted. Our “winter” crows have not materialized here either. I’m waiting for Jo and Bruce to show up.

If we'd set out to purposefully engineer the erasure of all forest ecosystems, we could scarcely have come up with better than a combination of sheep, goats, too many deer, and no natural predators.

Internalized ableism is one of the hardest things to face when your movement/mobility needs change. I cried for 2 days when I had to start using a wheelchair because I couldn’t walk without pain. A nerve ablation on both sides of my spine helped resolve my issue and the wheelchair was donated.
