Diane Keaton, Oscar-winning star of Annie Hall and The Godfather, dies aged 79

The Oscar-winner best known for her many collaborations with Woody Allen, as well as films including Reds, The First Wives Club and The Book Club, has died Diane Keaton, one of the best-loved film stars of the past 50 years, has died at the age of 79 in California. Seems to me that the fact that interested people can’t find games they find interesting and maybe don’t even know they exist is (a) obvs true so dunking on it is dumb and (b) a massive fucking problem for the artform that the corporate sector of the industry has no interest *at all* in solving

I've been borrowing movies/TV shows from the library a lot more recently, and it's really nice! Especially when it comes to stuff that is before the year 2000, which most streaming services treat like poison.

A lot of libraries also have physical media you can check out. Our local system has movies, audiobooks TV etc. I do realize it’s not practical to always do that, but it’s a good option! Also getting involved in your local library & its board can help!

I think a good first step for people would be to see what streaming services they have access to through their local library. I get Kanopy and there is so much good TV content on there that you get for free!

A local video store owner informed me that kids in their 20s are buying up all his VHS horror movies because they think it's "scarier due to the graininess of the video" and that was the most heart-warming thing I've heard in a long time.
