I'm still trying to get up each morning, keep a relatively positive outlook, and work towards a future that matters.

But the strength to do so is being forged out of white-hot righteous anger, a need to protect what matters most, and a desire for my self-defined existence to spite the worst people.

Making stuff is how creatives communicate with the world. Nothing sucks more than putting everything into a piece of art or writing only to see it completely ignored.

We often feel like we have to make stuff other people will be interested in, yet we're told to do that "for ourselves."

Bc we ARE making the content for ourselves but it feels /bad/ when people don’t engage or show interest. You can care about both at the same time

TIL, in therapy, that sometimes when I feel close to burnout it's not exhaustion in the usual sense - it's anger.

It's too many unfairnesses & conflicts of types I am still learning to handle, until some part of me digs in its heels and goes "this is BS and I'm not dealing with it anymore."

Two years ago, when I started working at my current store, was the first I'd been out in public extensively, despite having transitioned for two years.

I was terrified, and every clocking felt like a failure.

If I picked my most disliked element of Kirby gameplay, it's definitely "puzzle you are expected to learn how to solve only AFTER it's too late to solve it."

A few days into finally being able to wear my own undergarments instead of the FTBA surgical bra, I've made a delightful discovery.

I can't wear a 38B anymore. First time I've outgrown a bra since I needed sizing.

Bear in mind, this is the *low* point of the graft volume over the next few months.

That project that "failed"? Someone out there needed exactly that thing and found it meaningful, even if the numbers don't show it. Impact isn't always measurable in downloads or engagement. Sometimes it's just one person saying "this helped."
