Ok, did not expect “The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe” to feel quite so relevant to this moment.

Here’s Edmund, deciding to side with the leader who he’s been told disappears people.

He did want Turkish Delight and to be a prince (and later a king) and to pay Peter out for calling him a beast. As for what the Witch would do with the others, he didn't want her to be particularly nice to them - certainly not to put them on the same level as himself; but he managed to believe, or to pretend he believed, that she wouldn't do anything very bad to them, 'Because,' he said to himself, 'all these people who say nasty things about her are her enemies and probably half of it isn't true. She was jolly nice to me, anyway, much nicer than they are. I expect she is the rightful Queen really. Anyway, she'll be better than that awful Aslan!' At least, that was the excuse he made in his own mind for what he was doing. It wasn't a very good excuse, however, for deep down inside him he really knew that the White Witch was bad and cruel.

Just got cleared post-op. No more surgical bra, no more compression bands. Just relaxing and taking care of my body, and we'll regroup early January for next steps.

My life was so thoroughly defined by rejection (due to the myriad ways I couldn't conform) that, when I finally decided to transition, there wasn't any way of being rejected for it that mattered enough to keep pretending. I just had to give myself permission.

Seeing others made all the difference.

I had to do this dance for months on end a few years ago, on the demands of my ex. Calling pharmacies, getting partial fills, running around town only to have to do it again a few days later...

It was incredibly telling that she needed this to work, but acquiring it was made strictly *my* problem.

This video was how I finally got confirmation that a few radio edits sound wrong because they're slightly pitch-shifted.

Rhythm Nation is pitch-shifted up *just* enough that the bassline hits the resonant frequency of certain models of laptop hard drives, causing them to shake themselves to death.

At first the Discord hack didn’t seem that bad because it was initially the third party help desk.

But then you find out they had got there age verification data. Come to find out they got 1.5 TB of government id and age verification data. This is going to become a case against age verification.

The recent ICE raid which emptied an entire apartment building was apparently at the request of Wells Fargo, which is trying to foreclose on the building.

One of my closest allies went through conversion therapy in the 90s.

She cut her wrists regularly, because bleeding out was safer and less painful than what they do to her if they got her strapped in the chair.

They also lied about her committing crimes, so her parents would keep her there longer.

Conversion therapy destroys you. It's torture. I was waterboarded with vinegar until I said I was a boy and wanted to be a boy. I still have nightmares about it to this day.

That's what they want SCOTUS to protect.
