1 in 4 women experience domestic violence. This is a crisis we cannot ignore.

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we honor the courage of survivors and recommit to ensuring safety and dignity for all women and girls.
Are you aware that “Lawyers are only authorized to practice law in places where they have been barred or admitted. DV LEAP's attorneys are not admitted in Texas and therefore cannot represent parties in matters in front of judges in Texas.”? All victims deserve the right kind of help?

Texas has next to no DV laws. This has to change. We need this nationwide, but until that happens Texas should, & could implement this here. We need a registry of DV abusers, so the next person is protected. Victims are suffering, & abusers go on like nothing happened. www.change.org/p/the-united...

We want to highlight State Senator Roland Gutierrez from Uvalde who has honored with action, not just words. Use our Legislative Vote Tracker to see how Texas lawmakers have voted on important gun policies and hold them accountable for their actions.

Q: This has been reported for a while. Cory Mills was accused of beating a girlfriend in his DC apt. Are you concerned about these allegations?

JOHNSON: You have to ask Rep. Mills about that. He's been a faithful colleague. I don't know the details. Let's talk about things that are really serious
