Started a new Hades 2 save file; I've been switching the language to Japanese now and then out of curiosity, and the localization team absolutely knocked it out of the park! Lots of smart, hard-hitting reformulations, and clever handling of tricky wordplay—it's really inspiring stuff 😍

"Rules for thee, not for me". Same as translators using obvious AI-generated images on social media while complaining about MTPE... People don't see it as an issue until it targets them 😔

Localization budgets tend to be a very well-guarded secret, but thanks to SGG's transparency, we can at least make an educated guess for Hades II: The cost of localizing the game's 380.000 words into 14 languages was approximately $1.5m.
