I genuinely cannot express how vital it is that you train yourself to recognize AI-generated images and videos for your own good because none of this is going away and many, many people are counting on you to fall for their shit

The prompt was 'Ambush'
A parody of the 'Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat' Calvin and Hobbes cover with Sandra (a werewolf) in place of Hobbes, who is leaping at Nina (a human, sleepily minding her own business) in place of Calvin.

Wishing a happy 101st Birthday to Ed Wood. Ghosts, transvestites, Bela Lugosi as God, what a strange, fascinating picture he gave us. Other than David Lynch, no other Hollywood-adjacent director had a better grasp on the surreal spaces underneath movies--even if Ed maybe only found them by accident.

I read this comic back when it was still "Cheap Thrills", and it was good then. The author has only improved in time, and I adore everything about it. AND NOW IT COMES IN PRINT!

I watched ISTTVG a year ago, and it shattered my egg into a thousand pieces. I've pretty much been devouring any analysis of the film that I could find ever since. This is the best one.

I especially love how Emily refutes the more cynical readings of its ending. I found it painfully uplifting.

Feral was a game in development for PC (and potentially Xbox and PS2) in the early 2000s at Lost Toys (a studio comprised of ex-Bullfrog staff) before the studio was shut down. Here's a taste of some of the new concept sketches we were able to dig up, thanks to one of its artists David Cathro.

It features a rough drawing of a portal, an extravagant building, a wooden rope bridge. A concept illustration of a fantasy-style blacksmiths from Lost Toys' abandoned werewolf game 'Feral' (2003)

Two investigators come knocking at mansion Derceto's door, where something fiendish waits with sharpened claw.
Will they discover the truth as they hunt their respective mark? Only time will tell as they find themselves... Alone in the Dark.

📺: Alone in the Dark, Infogrames, 1992 (DOS)
A DOS VGA pixel artwork cinematic of a red-gold sunset sky above Louisiana swamps with a polygonal 1920s car travelling along the dirt road. The old mansion rises above the swampy trees and bushes, with a cracked pot in the corner, the sky now dark and gloomy. One of my favourite cinematic framed shots in gaming. A pair of inhuman clawed hands clutch an opened window frame, the otherwise unseen creature looking down on one of the investigators walking along the path to the mansion's entrance.

Happy birthday to Wood 2! Not to be confused with the lesser known, Doom 2, also released on this day in 1994. ❤️

Criticised at the time for being too similar to the original Wood, Wood 2 is a stone cold classic for the more inventive forest design, new trees and double chainsaw alone.
