We are sad the teachers strike is impacting our work.
We appreciate all the work teachers do to manage challenging class sizes and complex learners.
Some teachers are organizing a Ride for RED Friday. We'll be there, wearing red and in our best biking form! Join us!

As a Montrealer, this makes me so proud! 🙌
“Though other cities offer bike-sharing programs, “Montreal revolutionized the trend,” TIME wrote, calling Bixi’s technology “the backbone” of bike-sharing services in cities including London and New York.”

Bixi bike-sharing program among the top 25 inventions in 25 years, TIME Magazine declares
The list also includes the iPhone and the Large Hadron Collider, the world's largest particle accelerator.

My 7yo this afternoon: “It’s been so long since we’ve taken the @bunchbike.com somewhere!”

Me: “We just rode it to/from St. Paul last night.” (40 mins each way)

7yo: “Yeah, but yesterday was a long time ago.”

I've been very excited seeing some of these #yycbike missing links filled in - ones on routes that I've traveled, sharing roads with aggressive drivers far too many times.

The "set aside the art from the artist" thing in this case is moot. Harry Potter money now goes right to destroying the human rights of trans persons. A billionaire who got her ass kissed for two decades got a rebuke and now she's got to wreck the lives of others.

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.

I think for Halloween I may put on a blue suit, a strand of pearls and a brown wig, and wander around saying “Well look,” in an authoritative but slightly pissy tone because that’s the scariest thing in Alberta right now.

Finally got around to finishing watching this video put out last year from the @cnunewurbanism.bsky.social about Walkability for a Restorative Urbanism. Some really interesting conversations, including some things that I think are interesting to consider about community, aging, & parenting.

"It would take UNRWA just about 3 hours to get trucks to the borders and then get much needed supplies directly to desperate people in #Gaza” our Juliette Touma tells @npr.org

The siege must be lifted, and the crossings must open.

Weird that antifa has existed as long as fascism. Almost like they're anti...fascism. anyway. Probably means nothing
justinbaragona.bsky.social
Incredible.

Jack Posobiec references the earliest version of antifa -- the anti-fascists in the Weimar Republic who were opposed to the Nazi Party -- as the bad guys.

It is astounding how much negative ebike press has come out in the past few months, it almost as if they represent a real threat to the car industry.

Police in Airdrie, Alberta (just north of Calgary) say this driver hit a 17-year-old girl in a marked crosswalk, got out of the vehicle, and appeared to get upset at the teenager before driving away.

They released this video and are now trying to identify the driver.
