In that sense yes but not what I was getting at.

I love how Armor King's stunner makes the opponent sell the move like Scott Hall. Tekken loves itself a good reference.

Salvation Army seen feeding ICE today. For anyone who doesn't already know about their bigotry, here is more, No need to give them your money this Christmas, or ever.

It’s dinner time for the police. Appears to be pizza from a Salvation Army van.

Broadview’s “free speech” curfew starts soon, at 6pm.

People just want something very easy to blame that doesn't set off the cognitive dissonance that would occur if they thought a bit deeper about why she lost. Even she isn't willing to throw voters under the bus like that.

Being Black and not fighting injustice that affects your day to day is a choice. Also your tax dollars paid for the weapons being used to mass murder Palestinians. That's why Palestine gets such a highlight because we're explicitly and loudly involved.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
You know that's exactly how Biden won his primary right? Also the DNC in particular does back preferred candidates.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
They can both be better advocates. I don't know why we keep doing this whataboutism about Trump as if he would actually advocate for anything but himself. Also you shouldn't be dismissive about a genocide that your tax dollars are paying for.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
This is a cop out because she actually has no real reason to not specifically call what's going on in Palestine a genocide and she has no power to lose. If anything her advocacy for Palestine would actually do well for her base and push of their Democrats going forward with the same position.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
So if shame isn't going to affect her, then no need to protest Trump either. You're not necessarily protesting just to convince other people to change their positions you're making other people aware of the person's positions. All protests aren't meant to work like boycotts.

How many of those populists particularly the Democratic side are actually backed by the party from jump and not a consolation from their guy losing a primary?

Belatedly reading about this and as always really important to remind people in *every breath* that when the right talks about “woke” and “DEI” they are talking about the cultural and political wins of the civil rights movement. This arrangement existed for 52 years because of historical activism.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
When I say up to par I mean people who actually activate voters and makes them want to engage in politics. There's no good reason, for example, that Dems don't push more populist candidates that actually get people to get out and vote, in particular young people.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
The reason I'm trying to step away from talking about voters in this way is because we tend to not talk about our politicians just not being up to par and how that deactivates the electorate. A deactivated voter is often one that makes poorer electoral choices.

I was just gonna say. Feeds and in particular the Discovery Feed means eyes on things you wouldn't normally have eyes on. Probably need to not have that in the future.

If I was a judge, I would absolutely say “You’re free to go, sir.” And dismiss the charges

I know you were, I was just saying that she doesn't really "blame" voters.

You ever seen a couple out together and they be real fine?

I like that shit.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
Yeah I don't really buy that.

The fact that you have to ask who should have run is the problem. The Dems were going to let Biden run despite not being fit to run, hamstrung the person who was chosen to run on top of her own issues, and hadn't been working on the future of the party. The L is on them more than the voting public.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
Yeah so that means the issue is who is running and how they run.

Every trip out of the save room in REmake is a game in itself. This is where you "hatch the plan": managing memory, probability, and hubris. Can I carry X and still collect Y in a single lap? The game toys with this further, when a critical shortcut has a limited number of uses before locking up.

I think it's very easy to look at demographic charts but then not think about the fact that there's a lot of people not accounted for. The way we talk about the election last year needs a complete rework and perspective shift because right now it's not productive.
miekbrzy92.bsky.social
One of the few things I thought was good* from Kamala's book was her take on the end result of the election. She sees it more about the people that didn't come out to vote than focusing on certain demographics. She says that it's a refutation of Trump (and her tbh).
