From the pictures the only thing left of the building was the concrete it sat on, so. Yeah. I imagine “check for the missing” consisted mostly of making sure they knew who was at work, who wasn’t scheduled, who might have called out that day, who might have gone offsite for lunch.

Ordered him the expensive prescription food the vet wants him on permanently and he’ll need more meds on hand for future episodes. I’d had optimistic thoughts of getting a new rug and bedding at IKEA but now Christmas is cancelled, everyone’s gift this year is Shawn’s bladder NOT full of blood. 😭

That’s also a state thing, I think; some states have compensation and grant programs and some don’t. Mine has a small subsidy program for solar panels (not the heat pump) but you have to apply quickly because it runs out fast. Different states have different programs.

But yeah. It’s not great. :/

Friends, some advice if you plan on spending time outside in an animal costume, sharing for no particular reason:

-You will sweat a lot more than you think. Have water/snacks

-You cannot move well (the Left Shark guy is a trained experienced professional dancer). Don’t run or you’ll trip and fall.

I suspect so. Both of them turned up again today; the calico's still more skittish, the orange ate two Churus out of my hand, including licking my hand when I started running out of Churu, and looked into the doorway like it wanted to come in.
