I mean if we’re talking flashbacks then The Untamed takes the cake, but I’ll grant you that’s just one long flashback (over 20 episodes or something) rather than to previous episodes.

I just remember Dragonball Z where every footstep gets a five second reaction shot from all other characters 😄

Gorgeous visuals so far, and just enough suggestion of intrigue that you get the feeling there's something else going on underneath the enemies-to-lovers story it's set up as, but it's real blink-and-you-miss-it pacing. It sort of feels like it's a regular C-drama playing at double speed.

Started 'Love in the Clouds' on Netflix, mainly so it was on the queue and I didn't forget what it was called after I saw it, but I'll say this for it: the opening is so instantly batshit that I hung around and watched the entire first episode.

good evening EXCLUSIVELY to the irish
There is also early Irish literature about female pissing contests. In the story "Aided Derbforgaill" several women compete to see who can urinate deepest into a pile of snow. The winner is Derbforgaill, wife of Lugaid Riab nDerg, but the other women attack her out of jealousy and mutilate her by gouging out her eyes and cutting off her nose, ears, and hair, resulting in her death. Her husband Lugaid also dies, from grief, and Cú Chulainn avenges the deaths by demolishing a house with the women inside, killing 150.

We need to come to terms with the fact that this timeline isn’t just stupid, it’s really fucking weird too
Dominoes increasing in size

My boss: so how's our fourth quarter looking?

Me, the sales manager at the company that makes inflatable frog suits: well, you're never going to believe this, but

Ah, that would be Nick Clegg, another former British political leader who went to Big Tech after his politics career nosedived.

I’ve not actively hated Rishi Sunak in a while, so the news he’s taken a job with Anthropic AI (aka the company I’m part of a mass lawsuit against for stealing our work to train their LLM) is actually kind of comforting.

First time we watched it and he appeared in the plane my wife and I were both just the DiCaprio pointing at the TV meme.

Out of the woods for a bit but I’d still like to shift this, mainly because I’ve already done a box for a client a few months ago and I’ve not much drive to do one for myself…

I've noticed the opposing team's fans only cheer when the opponents score on us. To win those fans over, I recommend we score on ourselves repeatedly; that will surely make them so happy they'll start supporting us. And I'm sure all our fans will keep cheering for us—who else is there to cheer for?

My 12yo has burst 3 pairs of shoes in 2 weeks and now needs both school shoes/boots and trainers immediately. Please buy my books so that I can keep this child shod

It was a statement of fact, not a recommendation!

Tyranids can in fact solve all those problems.

They do it in a way that causes very different and even more terminal problems, but those original problems will have been solved!

Goddammit AB did you short the economy *again?*

If you’re near Leeds (I’m not, I’m fighting Tyranids in Nottingham) you should definitely go to this.

May I humbly suggest DOA: Dead Or Alive, if you haven’t seen it, which knows exactly how cheesy a movie of a fighting game is, and leans into it *gloriously*. Everyone knows they’re in A Very Silly Movie and balances it just right for maximum entertainment.

the city of los angeles burned in january in part because of a man who couldn’t stop generating images of burning cities on ChatGPT, and then after he lit the fire he asked if the fire he started was his fault
