Kindness and sympathy are signs of personal strength; hate is a sign of personal weakness.
I’m sure they’d be happier in Paramus as long as the Starbucks line isn’t too long.
time for the exododus now i guess
Invoices should be net-30 at worst — I expected invoices upon acceptance as an editor, but some pubs paid on publication ( often the same day as acceptance on Net era).
Would love to know the back story on Richardson — he got a lot of positive press during the season and seemed to be well-liked in the clubhouse….must have been some conflicts behind the scenes with the manager/org…

Excellent job Rep Houlahan (D-PA), call them out to their faces every chance you get. Trump’s little Johnson (R-LA) gets mad when confronted and asked if he has reached out to the other side to end this Republican government shutdown. Love to see Democrats keeping up the fight🔥

ah, perhaps instead of pumping millions into endless factional infighting Dem donors could invest in making local Dem organizations genuine civic spaces that can reach people during and between elections

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

The failure of the “blue no matter who” crowd to rally behind Mamdani really just lays the reality of that position bare, doesn’t it?
Apparently, it was a screw up by Chesco Voter services. Just from looking at the exclusions, they sent out primary election poll books in stead of general election books. They're rushing to fix the issue -- and yes, Chester County has a Democratic majority of county commissioners.

This magazine just fired all of their politics staffers

As someone who had to sell real estate in TX because Abbott has made taxes insanely high, property insurance insanely high and ignores infrastructure — its safe to say anyone moving to TX deserves what they get — nuked in the pocketbook. The TX GOP are little more than a bunch of criminal thugs.
They’ve all gone mad.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott: “After the polls close tomorrow night, I will impose a 100% tariff on anyone moving to Texas from NYC.”
There are literally hundreds (probably thousands) of journalists, editors and front office/sales people out there to start a couple of such media outlets.
if there was a rich person with the will, you could build the most incredible news organization that has ever existed just from the wreckage of this year alone.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

The COVID crisis should have led to universal single-payer healthcare. Instead, it led to a new gilded age, and the dumbest politics imaginable.

i would imagine at least 80% of people who claim they’re leaving NYC if Zohran wins live in Jersey, Long Island, or Westchester and commute into the city
Sen. Fetterman embarrasses me to be a resident of Pennsylvania.
Trump is a vindictive, self-absorbed asshole who literally hates all other humans. If you support him, you have many of the same issues.
Q: Americans have been watching videos of ICE tackling a young mother, tear gas being used in a Chicago residential neighborhood, and the smashing of car windows. Have some of these raids gone too far?"

Trump: "No. I think they haven't gone far enough”
No. Any content provider and/or publication can cancel any ad that doesn’t meet their standards, either ethically or otherwise. They chose not to cancel the ads, therefore they own the situation. And yes, I’ve personally cancelled ads that did not meet our publishing standards (obvious lies).
But if there are any edits — don’t we all get to sue CBS for $10 Billion? Or is that only a Trump thing?
Do not support this propaganda 60 Minutes is airing tonight.

If ICE agents begins harassing voters on the way to vote on Tuesday, we need local prosecutors to charge the ICE officers with state law crimes. We need to send a message for 2026 that they will be swiftly arrested.

That’s by design. Billionaires monetize rage bait, and it has the added bonus of keeping us fighting with each other while they rob us blind. But one day soon, all the anger from the culture wars they’ve cultivated to distract us from the class war will be turned on them.
One of the biggest revelations of the social media age imo is how much people are addicted to getting mad, so much so that they'll actively create reasons when there are none.
The reporting on this race makes me think virtually all of the media covering this race have never heard of Fiorello LaGuardia, know anything about the history of NYC politics or are willing to go beyond press release coverage.
I would like for national political reporters to place a moratorium on “But what will voters in the rest of America think about New York City’s socialist mayor?” We don’t care! Red states are notably full of psycho politicians yet rarely do you see pundits asking Brooklyn people about them.

Trump has to be really TERRIFIED about what has happened to Prince Andrew. TERRIFIED

If the Epstein files were a “hoax”, Prince Andrew wouldn’t have lost his royal titles or been kicked out of Windsor Castle.

Facts don’t care about your lies, Donald.
