I see that the landlords are putting those tax breaks to good use maintaining their rental properties. Did you hear that rents are down in Wellington?

I’ve deleted a post that I grumpily made when I woke up this morning just don’t have the spoons to be honest with all that’s been going on lately

Please let the answer be yes

It just really irritates me that these come through the News section. Sure the lifestyle stuff has its place but is this news?

On an intellectual level I get all of that. I still dislike it a lot. Guess that’s why I never, ever listen to the Panel 😊

My mentee Fatima just evacuated from Gaza on a scholarship and is trying to raise money to support her family back home through two one-hour tatreez (Palestinian embroidery) classes next weekend. Information on how to sign up is at the end of her video.

I'm old enough to remember 5 years ago when they promised us great things and now they're just like 'lol fuck cycle lanes and fuck the future'
A screenshot from 5 years ago when Stuff launched 'The Forever Project' and promised to do better on climate coverage A screenshot from the piece where they (rightly) call climate change an epoch-defining challenge and they promise better, more meaningful coverage

Mind blowing.

The Luxon Government has confirmed it will rewrite NZ’s once bipartisan climate change law to dilute methane reduction targets and PERMANENTLY exclude dairy from the Emissions Trading Scheme – a move Greenpeace says amounts to full-blown climate denial.

I hate it and all if its tilt towards what feels like emulating Buzzfeed

when i was being examined for my senior coxing licence in Oxford, she asked if I'd ever been in a boat crash, I said yes, she asked what I happened, I said "a manatee tried to mate with the shell and it capsized then broke in half" and she did not know how to respond to that

They literally show a housewife in a servant's uniform. They see women just as a product to purchase rather than a human being.

I think that what we can infer is that insider trading is rampant, there is an expectation that if you are onside with the administration you will not be prosecuted for it, and there is a belief this admin will not be leaving, so YOLO.

The uptick in these has been noticeable recently

Funnily enough I only use my most recent untatty version to check weight and temp conversions while I cook out of the imperial versions 😊

And last but definitely not least, it's Mr Vietnam who has managed to combine the traditional and beautiful look with wearing a tree on his back, which is something that I very much appreciate (especially in a year with a very low level of insanely large looks)

Mr Peru I think possibly needs an even bigger thing on his back, but I'm not really focussing on that because his stare is so fucking intense that I am feeling slightly flustered and need to go and sit in the dark to calm down for a bit.

Mr Laos. Just when you though this year was a bit quiet on the insanely huge, bedazzled, symbolic costumes along comes Mr Laos and blows everyone else out of the water. This is insane, but it's also *so* good.
