That $6 billion climate resilience fund would be useful right now if NATIONAL HADN’T SCRAPPED IT!

At least the landlords got their handouts though.

Everyone’s talking about Swarovski right now so let’s take a second and dive into the fact that they were NAZI Nazis. Like full-on Seig Heil, prosecuted after the war level Nazis and the modern company has done everything they can to hide all their archives and prevent anyone accessing them.

I really enjoyed this interview with Mihingarangi Forbes. In 20 minutes we managed to touch on numerous issues relating to how AI is changing society, issues I've been grappling daily in conversations with colleagues here in New Zealand.

There's been this hit job on the Green Party by ACT's NZCPR, claiming money was "stolen" from water infrastructure for cycleways.

In fact, their Council invested significantly, more than others over decades.

They put $2.7 billion to 3W in 2021 and 1.8% of that on cycleways #nzpol

Looking at this picture I'm sure I can see at least three waters. Maybe more.
The state of things. Tragedy intensifies. 😢

Remind me, which “waters” did those bamboozled billboard people think they wanted to “stop”… and why, again?

Does the Press Council still exist for complaints about inaccurate reporting? Or is this considered ‘opinion’ rather than faux outrage clickbait? 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤯 Duncan is a dick and The Listener is rapidly losing any remaining credibility. #nzpol

To be clear, “total coliforms” are not a group or kind of bacteria; coliforms are the gut bacteria that you find in poo, and a high “total coliforms” number in the water sample indicates there’s poo in there. Worrying that the Council spokesperson seems confused about this.

Well that was a really nice second send off for Dad. Approx 100 attendees, lots of stories including some I hadn’t heard before. Gorgeous music played by NZSO members. Tom Scott surprised at seeing some of his early work and just generally really nice
There were a lot of ppl who weren’t able to make it to Dad’s funeral service in Timaru immediately before Xmas so we’re holding a celebration of his life in Wellington on the 14th of Feb. Anyone who knew him is welcome to
