If you know basic kabbalah it's actually not too hard to make a golem out of a labubu. Don't recommend it though. They have a pre-existing body-dharma. As soon as they wake they run straight for the sea. V hard to counter. Lost the first one. No idea what it's doing out there. Moved like lightning.

Portlanders will not be cowed by this administration. When undignitaries like Kristi Noem visit for their photo ops and get mocked by people in animal costumes it’s because that’s the level of respect they deserve. Doing the work of mass deportation is the least honorable thing a person can do.

My playthrough of Hugo's House of Horrors is now up on YouTube! I remember seeing shareware copies of this one beside the register at Software Etc. back in the day, and I'm glad I finally got a chance to play it.

Did you or a friend or a family member get attacked by Trump’s brown shirts this weekend? I’d like to hear about it and maybe do something about it. My email is jchavez [at] ojrc [dot] info. Please put “Seeking Legal Advice re: ICE Building” in subject line. All inquiries are confidential.

Federal officers used tear gas against Portland ICE protesters while Trump said "paid insurrectionists" were “burning” the city.

In 10 days my module The Door in Murex Canyon releases via @spacepenguinink.bsky.social. A small hex crawl and dungeon in a far future post apocalyptic industriazal wasteland. Dualstated for B/X d&d and Cairn. Perfect to convert to any dungeon crawler. Check out @itsjustgart.bsky.social cover art!
A partial color illustration in black, white, and purple. A hulking mostly mechanical figure will bull horns, a sword, and a poncho along side what appears to be a pointy eared elf with a staff gaze upon a massive mechanical door at the bottom of a natural stone wall. Text atop the illustration says The Door in Murex Canyon, a 5th level adventure for BX and cairn. It's credited to Condrey, Crader, and Gilraine.

I'm really in a foul mood. Why? Because the Mayor doesn't like me. I think I'll just kick back for a while. It just may take me a couple of hours to sign this paper. *snicker* *snort*

Thanks for sharing this play report! I am happy to hear that a complete stranger got a lot of juice out of the onion.

I have some big changes in the pipe based on feedback - including some that will dampen the experience of being completely annihilated in monomachy by a superior enemy. Stay tuned

Stumbled on Commonwealth by @modality.bsky.social a couple nights ago and immediately consumed it and played out three years with a couple of characters. Tossed a small summary up on my blog, but man, as I'm writing this I want to go back and play more.

Two different things I believe:
1. MtG is cool because it is non-deterministic and has this ever-shifting card pool.
2. Wouldn't it be cool if MtG froze the card pool of modern for a couple hundred years - just long enough to have treatises written about specific play patterns (Finkel Gambit, etc)

Today's article is about a form of bad-faith speech somewhat akin to bullshit, which I'm calling (because why not) wank. I don't quite think I've focused the ideas down as much as I can, but I think it says some interesting things regardless:
An essay on wank | deadSimpleTech
This captures well the uncomfortable, slightly disorienting feeling that wank creates when you're subjected to it, wherein you're expected to speak about and think about the statement as though it say...
