We got an email from our school, along with a variety of resources and an invitation to come to them if your child needs extra support. It was really appreciated bc my kiddo stayed home today as she was too scared to go. It's incredibly disappointing to hear this wasn't done across the district.

It's awful that what should be a safe space to just be a kid is being stolen from generations and the adults in power do nothing, and actively choose to make it worse. I'm so sorry she went through that.

I'm so sorry. 🫂 We tried homeschool but it was really, really hard. I'm not sure where you're located but I've heard in the US sometimes private schools offer a bit more security-wise. But I just wish it wasn't like this for any kid anywhere, ever.

Even worse is that she was trans and you know the conservatives are going to use this horrible tragedy to try and say it happened because of that and not because of the abysmal lack of health care and mental health resources in the tiny community, or because of their anti-trans rhetoric.
