Accessibility in media has always been a team effort and we need the tools to make that so. Whether that's an option for ppl to submit descriptions that an artist can ok, or an edit feature for artists to add descriptions later, there's a lot of ideas out there. Shame doesn't look for solutions

This also doesn't get into how the burden is being put on indie artists to put out the same accessibility tools for free that in other media is handled by whole teams of people who are paid to write subtitles, sign, create detailed descriptions & tactile reference for museums, etc. ->

I have seen people shame others for not being "detailed enough" with their alt text, which has made me very anxious that I'm always doing something wrong. I almost always put some description, but with dyslexia, autism, & chronic fatigue issues it takes me awhile even to type a few key sentences

It's important to continue talking about this because there are many people on Bsky, who will refuse to engage with art that has no ALT text.
Meaning disabled artists who, for one reason or another, couldn't include it will get less chances to make money to afford a meal. Does this sound accessible?

When Ren hit a dead end with his comic, I suggested he tell it from Brik's perspective. He was obviously the character he vibed with the most. I think it's a good idea to choose the character you love drawing to be the main one in a comic. It also might help you transition from recent experiences
