Workforce neglected, HC system carved up into tiny pieces with no oversight/operational control, it would also be a good time to remind everyone in AB that if we have any significant HC event (forget about a pandemic) we will have NO ABILITY to respond in a collective manner.

Took kiddo for a swab this morning for a study. We walk in in masks, kiddo is hacking and coughing. Pharmacist who administered the test...wore gloves, but no mask. The disconnect is huge.

Was nice to know she wasn't positive for these at this point in time, while we continue to mask, isolate and use ventilation to hopefully keep the rest of us from catching it. 🤞

Study being done in several provinces to swab for covid, flu a/b, RSV and adeno. Took kiddo this morning and it was quick and easy. 2 swabs, you get rapid results while there and they send the 2nd for PCR testing.

I didn't know Dr Markland irl,but he sure had a way with words. He could really capture the emotions of what it was like to work in an ICU and helped many through covid. You could tell he was a fierce lover of nature and a great advocate for the healthcare system. Condolences to all who knew him. 💔
