A not talked about but weird part of being a writer is how often you’re in a group talking books and you virtually smile and nod when a recommendation comes up for someone you dislike for a petty reason like they were rude to a friend at a once, but saying so would veer on unnecessary gossip.

Ume, the Malayan tapir calf, isn’t exactly dainty when it comes to eating her salad behind the scenes. 🥬 Now, 8 months old and 400 pounds, she’s growing fast, and those loud crunches mean she’s getting all the greens she needs to thrive. 💗

Funny thing, the cheapest one they had was in liquid form (spray)(2 spritzes in mouth)(it tastes okay) so I'm a disgruntled owner of a tiny bottle of what's essentially Sleeping Draught. Potion of Eepy.

Caved and got a small thing of melatonin today to see if I can nudge it along chemically. Lying awake for hours and then collapsing after you get home and the caffeine wears off is very very VERY annoying.
