Between Tiny Toons, Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Animaniacs, etc., it was obvious almost immediately when something was animated by TMS. Like, it wasn't even close.

It was especially jarring with Animaniacs where you'd go from an episode/segment done by another studio, to the Wheel of Morality

While probably not perfect, Swivel and later Ruffle basically bridge the two in my eyes. Preserving what made the web fun while actually making it more accessible than it previously was.

It's kept Homestar Runner online, so automatically a win in my book.

I love Flash because of how it led to both the indie cartoon and game dev scenes.

I hate Flash because of how insecure it was, and how it re-enforced Internet Explorer's monopoly, thus normalizing websites running native code on your computer.

It's the one place my art and IT brains are at odds.

FAST streaming services (and some re-run channels) really do a number on old TV shows between compression, upscaling and worst of all: not deinterlacing for some ungodly reason.

It's like how a basic rule of personal Internet security is to make sure any unsolicited emails you get come from official sources (check the email address, language, etc.), only for official emails to look like phishing attempts themselves.

So about that scam where someone claims to have accidentally reported you and asks you to contact them via Discord to fix it...

I feel like it's been made worse by the fact that official support channels for things are being put behind Discord servers. Like, you're giving these scams legitimacy.

Modders fret not however - SEGA's EULA still allows (broadly) the use of "creative" mods (items, character, stages, etc) - as long as you play by the rules online, you should be safe!

I'm still of the belief that the end goal of capitalism is for a single person to be able to say "give me literally everything you have in perpetuity for literally nothing in return".

Everything in-between including running some semblance of a business is merely an obstacle for them to overcome.
