The best time to abolish ICE would have been in 2021. The next best time is if we win in 2028. At this point, any Democrat unwilling to abolish ICE must be drummed out of the primary.
ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.

The President is building an army to attack his own country.
My sister wanted us to get matching compass tattoos with a fleur-de-lis arrow for her 50th, and while flattered, it’s not for me. Maybe a small, tasteful fleur-de-lis or the block M. Or a tasteful floral vine to hide surgery scars on my wrist. But I’m not there yet.
I know so many well-educated MAGAs that support this regime b/c they immigrated “legally”, are “pro-life”, are anti-LGBTQ+, and / or think he’s “a good businessman”
It’s like they’ve never actually studied history!

Perhaps I'm crazy, but I tend to think that it's a bad thing when the President lies about things we can all see. And it's *not great* that many in the media are so eager to let him play up those lies.
Yes, king--get that T! :) 👑

Always take sentences using “the Cloud” or “the Internet” and try replacing those phrases with “A shed in Virginia” to see how they hold up. “Our service is fully based in a shed in Virginia”; “All my files are in a shed in Virginia”; “A shed in Virginia was designed to survive a nuclear war”, etc.
Unintentional BlueSky algorithmic win:
I never really learned to cook with it or season with salt, b/c we didn’t cook with it very much. My dad was diagnosed w/high blood pressure in his early 30s & she was told to cut it almost entirely (this was the late 70s.)

I suspect the MAGA government decided to launch all these Bluesky accounts tonight to try to bait people in advance of No Kings.

These people have incurable 4chan brain and this is how they operate.

Block them. Do not engage. Do not give them what they want.
I totally get what you’re saying, but you’re talking about folks who have no logical consistency, Luigi. Some of these folks would have just picked a priest or laypeople with a big pulpit & message they bought, like Father Coughlin in the ‘30s or a recent example, the “Church Militant” dude.
I would presume in their world, a bishop outranks a cardinal for the MAGA See.
Well, that’s pointless here. If the Trump administration actually cared about worldwide reputation, they wouldn’t make this offer, and much less to a random collection of top 100 US institutions.
Right, but I think more … Texas, maybe? Nebraska? They’ve got some really conservative bishops. Think more like the Pace picante ads with their revulsion over NYC.
I have to disagree, as someone w/MAGA Catholic relatives. They don’t like big cities!
We’re not judging on a worldwide scale; we’re looking just within the U.S. You’re moving goal posts. In this list, 10 of the world’s top 125 schools are in the Midwest & South. Move beyond that & you pick up even more of the “Big 10” schools, which are extremely reputable research institutions.

They also covered it in an episode of the fantastic (but short-lived) “Alpha House” on Amazon about a house of Congressmen living together in DC.
(I was originally going to say Branson but thought, “no, too Protestant.”)
Can you imagine how awful it would be to visit? No spices, no fun, & the only booze is sacremental wine.
Hmmm…For the ones with money, it’s got to be Tom Monaghan’s city near Naples. For the less affluent ones, Baton Rouge? Staten Island? Some part of rural but Catholic Wisconsin?
Well, if that guy wants to splinter off (& take the “trads”, hard-core recent converts, & Opus Dei folks), the rest of us won’t miss them!
Sounds like someone’s looking for an intercession from Our Lady of the Austrian School.
What on earth are you talking about? There’s multiple reputable, high quality universities in the Midwest. And a few in the South, too. The only one I see taking the offer is Univ of Texas, b/c of Abbott.
Wow, that's terrible! I've heard from a friend at one of the Big3 that his health insurance could go up as much as 50% for next year.
