Today’s historic pic: 39 years ago today, VLine S307 tows a Y class and heads Down broad gauge Bendigo goods train no 9025 through Malmsbury, Vic, October 11 1986. Of the VR's 18 1957/1961-built S classes, 3 are still in revenue service and 4 (S307 included) are preserved in operational condition.
