my friend Dylan Spears painted this little guy for me about a million years ago - it became so fragile that I regrettably Lennie'd it, but it's still one of the coolest, most beautiful objects I own

a white sand dollar with a skeletal face painted on it - the hole in its center has been turned into a nasal aperture surrounded by black and red, its jagged bottom turned into 5 pointed teeth. it has wide set eyes (visibly cracked above its right eye) - red irises surrounded by black, with little white specks of paint that make the eyes look alive, and the black is lined with more red. a little red "vein" is painted at the top.

Guillermo del Toro and Netflix have announced plans to form a new stop motion studio that will be both a studio and a school to push the medium forward and will develop plans to make Del Toro's next stop motion project after Pinocchio. I'm very hyped to see what this leads to!
