Like imagine for a second that Ed Zitron is wrong about this shit, it's not going anywhere and in 10 years it will be apart of regular curriculum for students. Should we be boycotting any AI use or does the idea of their safety constraints being trained exclusively by right wingers bother you too?

It's the same people who would see Bitcoin start to trend downwards and confidently declare that it was the end. There was no time to pause between "I want this to happen" and declaring that it was just, happening.

I would prefer to live in a world where corporations COULDN'T do this, I'm just not sure it's responsible (for a myriad of different reasons) to tell people that OpenAI is weeks away from going belly up because of "economic fundamentals" arguments that haven't been true in decades.

How do we all feel about people who spent a decade swearing up and down that Facebook was on the verge of bankruptcy because they had no path to profitability? Google is free, it will never be a multibillion dollar tech empire. It's just search data, that's not real money. Broken fundamentals.
