Have a piece today in TEEN VOGUE from my new book POLICE AGAINST THE MOVEMENT detailing how the NYPD, LAPD, cops in Chicago and Memphis surveilled the civil rights movement—and then destroyed millions of surveillance files in the ‘70s, including ones that may have shed like on MLK’s assassination.

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

I think that's part of it but the other part is it's men -and in this case especially rich men - and they already don't do those tasks, so they don't see them. This is why we're getting Samsung TV's with ads and not fridges that remind us to eat the lettuce before it spoils

This is the tell that they don't want people with creative capacity. They want menials and drones that they can use extract wealth from their lives and labors, then discard before the next quarterly report.

The actual cruel burden is the point.

it’s said all the time but I think we should continue to hammer home how insane it is that we got dead-eyed bros trying to sell us robots that will free us from the supposedly cruel burden of “creative careers” instead of the actual cruel burden of “doing menial household chores”

Judge Ellis pointing out that Trump sunk his own case re: the 10th Amendment/Posse Comitatus with his batshit social media posts. "The POTUS' promises ... are to be treated with great respect." 🤣
Plaintiffs offer substantial evidence in support of their concerns that the scope and
purpose of the National Guard’s deployment in Illinois could intrude into the general police
powers generally reserved to the states. That evidence primarily consists of President Trump’s
social media posts concerning crime in Chicago. In one post, just about one month before
President Trump authorized the deployment of the National Guard in Illinois, the President
promised: “I will solve the crime problem” in Chicago, “just like I did in DC,” where the
President previously deployed the National Guard. Doc. 13-10 ¶ 59; id. ¶ 44 (similar, in August
2025). President Trump further stated: “Chicago will be safe again, and soon.” Id. The following
day, in a fundraising email, President Trump stated: “I turned our Great Capital into a SAFE
ZONE. There’s virtually no crime. NOW I WANT TO LIBERATE CHICAGO! The Radical
Left Governors and Mayors of crime ridden cities don’t want to stop the radical crime. I wish
they’d just give me a call. I’d gain respect for them. Now hear me: WE’RE GOING TO DO IT
ANYWAY.” Id. ¶ 60.

This is not a border crossing.
There’s no law that any of us have to show our papers on the interior.

This is a blatant civil rights violation. How is anyone supposed to know whether this man is a real ICE agent or just pretending to be one?!

Trump: "AI is based on information. I hope they're right about information. I don't know. You've gotta make a lot of money to-- there's gotta be a lot of information out there, but that seems to be pretty hot. We're leading the world on information on AI."

Hey @govpritzker.illinois.gov, if you’re actually in favor of fighting the Trump administration’s fascist shit, you need to address the fact that state and other local cops are effectively supporting the fascist shit. 🤨

Seeing Ms. Rachel say exactly what needs to be said to Obama is so damn refreshing
Dear President Obama,
I saw in your statement you said "Israeli families" & "the people of Gaza."
Palestinians have families, too.
This kind of language contributes to dehumanization. Dehumanization is part of what caused so many to stay silent as 20,000 children were killed in this genocide.
I've sat with wonderful Palestinian families from Gaza. They look at their children just like we look at ours - with all the love & hope in the world.
Love,
Ms Rachel

Outside the Broadview detention center, ISP + Broadview PD are still blocking Harvard + 25th. It's officially after curfew.

One organizer is urging some remaining protesters to leave (they are mostly ignoring the plea). It's truly mostly press here now, including a number of far right/chud media.

Later released without charges.

Where’s the accountability?

28. If the cops arrest you but then no charges are brought, there should be a small penalty for the cops.

Currently cops can just threaten to arrest you bcs arrest itself is a deterent to most people.

going by the decor, is this not TGI Fridays?
Someone on Twitter posted a photo of themselves doing a happy dance as they receive a hot plate of fajitas. Then "Raw Egg Nationalist" on Twitter retweets them, writing: It's incredible that these people exist, but they really do. These are the people who justify the demographic replacement of Western countries in terms of the variety of street food and how many different kinds of fried-meat-and-vegetables in flatbread they can buy.
